Another blogger in the family

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

It is with great pleasure that I introduce another aviation photographer to the blogging family.  He’s been part of my actual family for my whole life so I know what’s coming and I know you’re going to enjoy it.

So please check out ZKNZ – shooting flying Kiwis!

Additions to photographers’ maps

I’ve added a few items to the Wellington photographers’ map as part of my journey to get to know my lenses’ depth of field characteristics.  I’ll be discussing the presentation and information in the forums.

Take aim!

The time has come to stop procrastinating and act!  Me, that is.

I am delighted to announce the launch of ZKARJ shoot!, an online forum for aviation photographers.

The mission of the site is displayed near the top of every page:

Have a passion for aviation photography? ZK-ARJ shoot! is your place on the web to discuss all matters relating to photography of aircraft and aviation related activities. Amateurs and professionals are welcomed to participate in the exchange of knowledge, constructive criticism and a shared passion.

While there are numerous online forums out there for photography in general, for various brands of photographic equipment and for aviation topics, I am not aware of any, certainly with a New Zealand flavour, that are all about aviation photography. So without wanting to detract from those other forums, I am launching ZK-ARJ shoot! as a focal point for this type of discussion.  I will personally still be visiting several other forums as although my main interest is aviation photography, I also have broader interests.

So, go take a look, register, and have your say.  You can click the link above, the one at right, or go straight there with the easy-to-remember URL shoot.zkarj.co.nz.
