Not quite equalling the excitement of the “helicopter at home” experience in the previous post, but here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks, up to today.
First up, Air Nelson‘s latest Q300 to join the fleet, ZK-NFA, seen at Wellington a few days after entering service. Currently this is the only Air Nelson Q300 not registered as ZK-NE<something>.
Next up a shot of Vincent Aviation‘s Beech 1900C, ZK-VAE, moments from touchdown.
OK, for this one I have done some checking! Metroliner ZK-POE has been through the same owners, and at the same times, as ZK-POF which was discussed earlier, so it is also likely to have operated at some time in Origin Pacific colours. However, this time I could find no photographic evidence. The oldest photo I came across was in April 2004 at which time it was wearing the same scheme as shown here. It does, however, show up (along with ‘POF) as having been operated (in some fashion) by “Ansett New Zealand Ltd.”
Next up, in Air National markings, is Jetstream 32 ZK-ECR which on this particular day (today) was doing training.
And carrying on the theme of “did it fly with Origin Pacific?” is Jetstream 32 ZK-ECP. This aircraft shows as having been registered to Air National since its arrival with the exception of 10 months under Tasman Pacific Regional Airlines. Photos of it as recently as February 2007 show an all-white scheme as for ‘ECR above, and yet Origin Pacific ceased operations 6 months prior. Perhaps they’ve all been using the same paint shop – the one who got a really good deal on the dark blue.
