I must admit that these days when I’m at an airshow, it takes a fair bit of will power to take an interest in the Red Checkers’ display – and there is inevitably one at every airshow in New Zealand. I’ve seen them so many times it is just not that interesting any more. The first such display I can remember seeing was the last one with the Harvards!
But often when they are arriving or departing, there are good close-up shots to be had and the shot above is one of my best, taken at Omaka last year. Oddly, however, if you take a look at the “original” size on Flickr, I seem to have got the tail out of focus, but not the rest of the aircraft. Hmmm.
